Nevers - Day 15

Nevers has long been on my pilgrimage bucket list. We missed it on our previous trip to France, so this time, we made it a priority—to complete the footsteps of St. Bernadette.

We rented a car and drove about three to four hours to Nevers. It is a small, peaceful town in the Burgundy region, not far from Lyon.

After arriving, we had lunch at a Thai restaurant near the sanctuary before heading to the Sanctuary of St. Bernadette. This is where she spent the final years of her life at the Convent of Saint-Gildard, and where her incorrupt body now rests.

The sanctuary is quiet and serene, an ideal place for reflection and silent prayer. We also visited the small museum on-site, which beautifully presents the life and story of St. Bernadette.

It was a simple yet deeply meaningful visit—one that completed our pilgrimage journey and brought her story full circle.
