This is the first time parents teachers meeting for Ted.
The teacher gave positive feedback and mommy was so happy.
She said in the first term, he's very quiet and sour face but after term 2, he started to open up and spoke more words.
She said that he may be adjusting for first term, observing the surrounding until he felt comfortable.
He can recognize numbers and alphabets very well and he's one of the first in the class who answers the questions from the teacher.
Ted is one of favourite boys in the school. Every teacher loves him and says that he's very cute.
Well done Ted, keep it up !

Happy Mother's Day 2018
This year we celebrated Mother's Day a day earlier on Saturday, 12 May 2018
We had family brunch at hidden cafe at the foot of Fort Canning Hill - The Fabulous Baker Boy.
We ordered big breakfast, granola oat with yoghurt and pancake with chocolate chips.
The food were delicious and we all love it.

Playdate at Waka Waka
Last Saturday we had a playdate with our Family Builder Cell Group at Waka Waka.
For sure the kids were having fun and felt tired after that.

One Fine Day in the Novena Church
Ted has been on off sick, he got this flu bugs attack his eyes, nose, throat, skin :(
So one day, we didn't enrol him to school, instead we brought him to Novena Church with oma and opa.

The Shack Movie
Few weeks ago, we as family watched this movie "The Shack" at our parish church.
The movie was incredible good and mama decided to write in this blog so that Ted may watch it in the future when he's grown up.
The synopsis :
After suffering a family tragedy, Mack Phillips spirals into a deep depression that causes him to question his innermost beliefs. Facing a crisis of faith, he receives a mysterious letter urging him to an abandoned shack in the Oregon wilderness. Despite his doubts, Mack journeys to the shack and encounters an enigmatic trio of strangers led by a woman named Papa. Through this meeting, Mack finds important truths that will transform his understanding of his tragedy and change his life forever.
The message that mama received from this movie :
1. Our purpose of life is to be loved and to love
We are created as God image which God's nature is Love, so each of us is called to love as God loves us.
If we are fail to love or feel to be loved, there's must be something wrong within us. Perhaps it's painful experience, betrayal etc so we must come back to the source of Love and trust God to heal and renew us
2. Are we God ?
Eventhough we are God's perfect creation, we are not God. However because of the original sin from Adam and Eve, we like to take God's role to be God. We love to judge the good and the bad.
Unfortunately what we thought is good sometimes it clashes with other's good and end up the world becomes so chaotic
3. Our Future is with God
Without Him, we won't have future. We can't do everything by ourselves
4. Let it Go
To come back to our original call, we need to let go our pain and learn to forgive those who hurt us because God also loves those who hurt us and by forgiving them, we also setting them free so that God can redeem them from the evil
Hopefully, when Ted's grown up, he can watch this movie again and find other meanings that come alive in his life
