First and One Time Life Experience - Papal Mass

Last Thursday, September 12, 2024, was a truly memorable day for our family.

By God's grace, we had the incredible privilege of attending the Papal Mass. Papa and koko Richie even had the honor of serving during the Mass—papa as a Communion Minister and kook Richie as an Altar Server.

Being just a few meters away from the Pope, especially witnessing him bless the little children and people with disabilities, was an emotional experience for me. I couldn't hold back my tears.

I felt the profound, unconditional love of God and witnessed the essence of what humanity truly needs.

Attending the Papal Mass felt like a glimpse of Heaven, with God on His throne, surrounded by Angels and Saints, while the rest of us worshipped Him. In that moment, there was no judgment based on race or worldly success; we were all equal in God's eyes.

Though we couldn't choose our seats, we embraced our place with deep gratitude.

Much like in Jesus' time, people came for various reasons—to see the Pope up close, some for selfies to share on social media, others to experience God's love more intimately. Only God truly knows each person's heart.

For my family and me, while we did hope to capture a close-up picture with the Pope as a keepsake, the real gift was the love and joy we experienced there.

One key message that we will always remember is:

"Without love, all are nothing."

First Holy Communion (7 September 2024)

Ted received his First Holy Communion last Saturday after months of preparation. He had eagerly anticipated this special occasion, as he wishes to join the altar servers.

On the day, he was dressed in a long-sleeve shirt with a red bow tie and long black pants.

When I asked him about the taste of the host, he described it as very nice and sweet.

Our prayer for you is that God guides you, instilling in you a deep love for Him and a hunger for the Eucharist. May the Holy Host nourish and sustain your soul until you are reunited with Him in heaven.

Summer holiday Labuan Bajo day 4 (June 2024)

Our last day at Labuan Bajo.

Papa and mama woke up at 5am and did a little hiking at Bukit Sylvia to watch sunrise.
It's amazing to see the bird's eyes view of Labuan Bajo.

After that, we went to airport and bought some souvenirs along the way and mama bought tenun vest as momento.

Thank you Bajo for the warm hospitality and incredible views, you will be in my heart.

Summer holiday Labuan bajo day 3 (June 2024)

Today we did land tour - culture experience and nature exploring.

We started our day with coral exploration at Mirror stone cave. This is where coral under the sea formed million years ago when it's still covered by sea water.

It's so incredible, we imagined we were diving under the sea exploring the coral cave.

We went in with protective helmet and flashlight as the cave was dark inside.

After that, we had our lunch at Berkat Seafood restaurant. The place is clean and the food is very yummy.

Then, we continued to Rumah tenun for culture experience, understand and learn how tenun songket was made.

They showed us where natural dye come from, how they make natural colouring and the process of tenun.

One tenun sarong takes around 2 months in total as it's made by hand.

In the afternoon, we enjoy Flores coffee while overlooking rice field.

After that, we went to Taman Laut Handayani for sunset view and seafood dinner.
