Happy Father's Day 2018

Toilet Training in progress almost completed :)

A week before school started, mama started toilet training him again and this time mama took a risk by letting him wearing underpants instead of diapers at home.
Sometimes he will tell mama that he wants to pee, but sometimes he needs to be reminded to pee.
Anyway, this week he's been doing well.
Today, I let him wear underpants to school and so far it worked well.
He could pee in the toilet.
Hopefully he's soon be diaper free

Well done Ted !

Sleep with koko (Milestone achieved 10 Jan 2018)

This was blessing in disguise. It's started in Semarang where papa need to return to Singapore earlier because of work and koko Richie wanted to sleep in the upper bed. So mama told Ted to sleep with koko while mama sleep below because the bed was not enough and he agreed and could sleep well until morning. So when we arrived in Singapore, mama asked him to sleep with his siblings and he agreed. From that day, he always sleeps day and night at kids room yeayyy... eventhough sometimes in the early morning, he will cry and go to master bedroom.

Well done Ted !

Semarang And Culinary Spots (Midterm holiday part 2)

We spent another week exploring Semarang and culinary tour.
We went to visit

1. Waroeng Semawis
The longest food street in Semarang Chinatown. It's Ted's first time enjoying street food

2. Pasar Gang baru / traditional wet market

3. Kampung Pelangi

4. Cathedral Church

5. Kota lama / old town

6. Culinary food from Semarang

7. Hair cut in Semarang and have fun

Midterm School Holiday (25 May - 10 June 2018) part 1 - road trip

This was the first school holiday for Ted and we decided to bring the kids to mommy's hometown and roadtrip to some cities in Central Java.
Most of the trips were impromptu but it was quite fun.
We spent a week in Semarang and another week visiting other cities.

We rented a car and papa was the driver.
We visited couple interesting places and it's a new experience for Ted.

1. Cimory on the Valley
It's the nearest cafe from opa and oma's house. We could visit and feed the farm animals, play in the playground, take nice shots with beautiful background and enjoy lunch from their restaurant

2. Banaran Coffee Plantation
Located 2 km away from Cimory on the Valley was Kampung Kopi Banaran. It's the coffee plantation that we could take a buggy ride to visit and explore the plantation. Touching and picking coffee seeds, enjoying the nature beauty of the scenery and last but not least taking a break while enjoying fresh brewed coffee and hot snacks

3. Indonesian Railway Museum
It's located at Ambarawa and we were lucky because we arrived 15 minutes before the heritage train tour departed. We could see many steamed locomotives there and some antique equipments used in the station

4. Eling Bening Cafe
This was new cafe located in the hill of Ambarawa. They were overlooking Mount Merbabu and Rawa Pening Lake.
We could enjoy variety of Indonesian food while the kids playing in the playground and we could take some nice shots there.

5. Gua Kerep Ambarawa
This was our family's favourite place whenever we went to Semarang. We always spent sometimes to give thanks and pray through Mother Mary for what God has done to our life

6. Dieng Plateau
It was an impromptu decision by papa to go to Dieng Plateau. Thanks to the technology which was GPS, we could enjoy the journey to the mountain with very beautiful scenery.
It took around 3 hours and we visited Arjuna temple, Telaga Warna and Bukit Ratap Angin before heading down to Wonosobo for a stay over night.

 7. Kledung Pass
We had dinner at mie ongklok, Wonosobo and we stayed over night at Dieng Hotel Kledung Pass.
The hotel was located in between Mount Sumbing and Sindoro. The view was amazing
The room itself was clean and neat, we only had a problem with water heater that sometimes was not stabil.

8. Taman Wisata Alam Posong
This was another impromptu plan after we were told by the hotel staff that we could see sunrise just 7km from the hotel.
So mama and papa woke early around 4 am and we went to Posong to see the sunrise while the kids were still sleeping

9. Taman Doa TaroAnggoro
It was located just 5 minutes away from our hotel so we decided to visit this Taman Doa. It was very quiet

10. Tanjung Sari Tea Garden
There were 2 tea plantations in Dieng Area, we went to Tanjung Sari Tea Plantation at Wonosobo.
The area was very huge, they have maze area, some photospots, tea plantation, playground

11. Borobudur temple
After that we headed towards Magelang and stopped by at Borobudur Temple. When mama was pregnant with Ted, mama climbed up to the main dome so when Ted visited this temple, he loved to climb up the steep stairs until the main dome too.

12. Taman Kyai Langgeng
I could say this was one of the oldest theme park in Java. Since it's fasting month, the park was very quiet and perhaps we were the only visitors. The area was still well maintained though.

13. Westlake Resort and Restaurant
The next day we headed over to Yogyakarta and we stayed at Westlake Resort and Restaurant for the rest of our road trip. It's the nicest hotel we ever stayed during the road trip and we loved to spend in the resort, enjoying the facilities.
We chose Family room facing lake view where we could feed the fishes right from our balcony.

14. Prambanan Temple
The kids were not joining mama, papa when we visited Prambanan Temple in the afternoon. It was very hot and sunny day though

15. Jalan Malioboro
This was the famous landmark whenever someone visited Yogyakarta. It was like a long road and the shops selling art, craft, batik and souvenirs.

16. Sinten Photography
Last but not least, we took some nice shots in Javanese costumes at Sinten Studio.
