It's supposed to be friday fun night day but sometimes things are not going perfectly well. After music lesson, we had an impromptu idea for ice skating at late Friday night. Papa booked the online ticket for 9.45pm session.
We arrived there around 9.30pm, changed the shoes and got ready for ice skating. This was the second time the kids had ice skating.
Everything was going well, the kids have the courage to try without any assistance tools for 1 hour plus until the drama started around 11pm.
Ted was suddenly crying out loud, papa quickly came to rescue and found that there's the blood in the ice surface came from the head. He almost dropped his heart when he saw Ted lying down in the ice skating. After observing the situation and it's actually a small cut in the left side of the face near the eyes, papa was relieved.
Quickly, we brought him to the first aid room to get something to press the cut to minimize the blood flow. Then the first aid person told us that it's a deep cut and need to go to hospital for stitching.
So they called ambulance and papa and Ted left to NUH while mama dropping koko Trom and Richie at home.
The waiting time was crazy which is 4 hours. Around 12.45am, papa gave up and we tried 24 hrs clinic which near our home. Unfortunately, the doctor there can't do stitching because there's no proper equipment and suggested us to bring back to the hospital.
By then, Ted was very tired and sleepy so we had no choice other than bringing him back to hospital because the stitch need to be done within 6 hours from the accident.
We arrived around 2am there and papa re-registered him while mama accompanied Ted in the car as he's sleeping.
Around 3am, Ted was brought in to be assessed by the doctor. They gave him a numb gel and waited for another 30 - 40 mins before continue with numb injection and stitching.
The procedure itself took around 15 - 20 mins. After that they gave us paracetamol and antibiotic cream.
We arrived at home almost 5am in the morning.
What a halloween day to remember !
